DinUtah Posted September 9, 2005 Report Share Posted September 9, 2005 I read of adding yeast as a supplement. Is this the same yeast as in bread making? I read of adding it to water, to feed, even a pinch in the mouth. Which is best, and, is it neceassary? Where do they get it if I dont give it to them? Guest Posted September 9, 2005 Report Share Posted September 9, 2005 Dinutah, I believe the yeast you are asking about is BREWERS YEAST. It is primarily to supply the B Complex Vitamins. Usually added to the feed after putting something like oil or lemon juice on the grain to give the yeast something to stick to.
