I read of adding yeast as a supplement.  Is this the same yeast as in bread making?  I read of adding it to water, to feed, even a pinch in the mouth. Which is best, and, is it neceassary?  Where do they get it if I dont give it to them?   DinUtah

Dinutah, I believe the yeast you are asking about is BREWERS YEAST. It is primarily to supply the B Complex Vitamins. Usually added to the feed after putting something like oil or lemon juice on the grain to give the yeast something to stick to.

Vitamins should come from the birds' normal diet, or a multi-vitamin supplement .
