Guest CS Posted January 19, 2007 Report Posted January 19, 2007 Thanks. Just don't want him breaking anyone elses eggs!! I need all the young I can get at the moment!! How many are you going to breed youngsters for yourself ?
Peckedhen Posted January 20, 2007 Author Report Posted January 20, 2007 A lot!!! Seriously Craig, I'm not too sure yet. I might fly celibate cocks, I need to breed a lot more than last year to do releases. I'll need a team to fly plus a team to breed. At the moment. I'm flying my breeders which is not good!

Peckedhen Posted January 20, 2007 Author Report Posted January 20, 2007 What do you mean? There's no problem with flying breeders? There is for me! I haven't enough birds to risk loosing them(and consequently their eggs).

Peckedhen Posted January 30, 2007 Author Report Posted January 30, 2007 Its always the bottom nestboxes that are the problem!! > > This is just what I am finding!! I've been away today and come home to find a squab hatched and dead, the other egg piped but stone cold out of the nestbowl! > The cock has been fighting and the guilty culprit? That b***** cock from the bottom nestbox! > > He'd be out of the stock loft now if he wasn't sitting eggs....he's locked in now and I'll let him out under supervision in future!!
