schouwman71 Posted January 30, 2007 Report Posted January 30, 2007 agree theres nothink odd with those colours,if you want to see true yellows then look at the kikpatricks of louellas, those pics are mealys and reds, nothink unusual, ive bred loads over the years. The red fox janssens carry this colour if you keep reds to reds.Les
Guest REDFOXKRAUTHS Posted January 30, 2007 Report Posted January 30, 2007 symbro, It never ceases to amaze me how most fanciers cannot understand that there are only 3 basic colours. When one of these colours is found in combination with pattern genes and colour modifyers they consider them a different colour when it is just a different expression of the same basic colour. e.g ash red + cheq = red cheq ash red + bar = mealy ash red + spread = strawberry (must include 2 pattern genes as well) ash red + cheq +dilute = yellow cheq ash red + bar + dilute = cream Although they are all very different to the eye,the fact remains that they are all ash reds. wats a dilute?
pj1001 Posted February 4, 2007 Report Posted February 4, 2007 What colour would you call these 3 hens and what colours do people think they would originate from? Many thanks PJ
