slipped ring

off to my usual start 'breeding wise'....of my 4 stock pairs ,1 has just gone down, 3 layed and sat.,1 on the floor so i floated 1 egg..the original pair deserted, the other hatched but died about 14 days, 1 pair hatched 1 and is weaned, the last pair hatched 2 lovely ybs...only for me to discover they had 'slipped' their rings and i hadn't noticed in time (dizzy). the only saving grace is that i wanted a pair for stock. its the first time its happened to me and i know its my fault but ,just in case, is anybody else having trouble with this years rings ?
