i have some white birds thay are a cross catrysse x carmel cardon. I have one cock in particular he comes very well on a hard day in ne head wind he seems to like that. between 2 and 300 miles he has won in the club and done very well in the fed on two ocassions. his brother a black cock was also second to him on both these races so i think they are as good as any thing else

i honestly cannot see why colour would make much of a difference , i think most of the crap ya hear about white birds is like some of the old wifes tales!!hear in australia we have numerous predators for our birds, in our hot dry climate.i have raced reds, whites, grizzles and all the other colours you can think of and have not had any particular colour pin pointed by hawks ect..in fact i think the darker colours stand out a bit more?anyhow it all comes down to the quality of the birds you are flying.if you are flying with average birds and have not got them conditioned exspect the hawks to have a feild day on them....other wise they will just single out the weak ones and chase them until exaustion resulting in capture....i also see many many people flying huge numbers of pigeons these days .how the bloody hell can one concentrate on all there team...?go back to flying small teams and spend the time with your birds instead of worrying about points or bloody $$$ signs

I am aquiring quite a loft of whites I just recived a mostly white bird that is a old Leen Boers bird I also have some birds from Happyco lofts as well as some white Bussharts and another set of birds we purchased from a guy who has a white in Ohio that is a 15 diploma winner last year one of the whites hit the sheet 4 times and won 2 diplomas so I am looking forward to flying a full team of these birds in the future I also have a couple of mostly white birds that were bred from a Daughter of Peters "Jimmy" when put with "Sharky" and I am going to put these birds into my line as well I am taking the 2 diploma bird and breeding him with both the sharky birds as well as the Boers hen

It is mostly white not completely I recived this bird as a gift and I know the gentleman very well so there would be no reason for him to lie to me about linneage he has a lot of old Boers birds and I am sure it is what he says it is

I can understand your skeptisim but really it is no consequence anyway if the babys dont fly it wont be here long anyhow !!!!

looking way back in the posts coxy,,, a wee bit late in answering , but to tell you the truth never noticed it at the time,, the whites i had were actualy gay pieds , bred down from tam mcleods , lewis mitchells and my own, no particular breed as such , but bred down from winners ,,,one thing i do notice now , i have a gay pied allmost white,,,,,is when the neighbours pass in my residential mobile home site, they all pass remarks about" that lovely one"so if the neighbours are happy so am i ;D ;D

im not doubting the mans word but a long time ago a guy near me had the best off leen direct and ive never seen a white, just the same as i never seen no white janssens ever...until you realise that they are roland janssens not gebr janssens ....ie..white bandit was from rolands lofts ...outstanding birds/performances.........................
