wince24 Posted July 19, 2007 Report Posted July 19, 2007 good day, fellow fanciers... we have recently acquired a pair of racing birds from taiwan as our foundation birds, the problem is how can get them to breed early, i have placed them in a cage away from the other birds, nest already in place, no eggs yet. it has been three months already...can anyone give me an advice on how can i start the to breed...thanks in advance..
Ronnie Posted July 19, 2007 Report Posted July 19, 2007 If they are old enough.Split them up for a week or so then repair them.
wince24 Posted July 19, 2007 Author Report Posted July 19, 2007 does the age matter? tha cock is 9years old the hen is 1 year old
Guest Posted July 19, 2007 Report Posted July 19, 2007 what size of cage ,would it not be better if you can put them in a section of their own were they wouldnt get disturbed by other pigeon and also have more room to themselves

wince24 Posted July 20, 2007 Author Report Posted July 20, 2007 i have another cock who is 11 years old and he breeds realy well, the pair is in a separate cage for themselves, i have seen them mate a couple of times now...they are realy testing my patience...well thanks guys i'l give them a few weeks ands if nothing happens i'll separate them for a while...
carl Posted July 21, 2007 Report Posted July 21, 2007 I would separate them for a week or so,box the hen for a few day she will soon get fresh,i had a pair do the same as you, wouldnt go down for weeks,no problems after they were split for a while. good luck witht them
jimmy white Posted July 21, 2007 Report Posted July 21, 2007 i would separate them, for about a week and ,, feed a little hemp mixed in wheatgerm oil
