put them on the loft front in a basket so that they can look around for a week then let them wander out on their own but make sure they are hungry before letting them out try not to frighten them up if they settle wandering about for 30 minutes then get them back in do this for a few days and they may settle. If they all rush out and take to the sky to early you may loose them good luck :)

If the birds were 10 weeks old when you got them, then they are probably 'homed in' to your friend's loft and you'll have to break them to your own loft.

 

If you have had them for a few weeks, then follow Shadow's advice.

Thank you all for the replies, this helps alot being that I am a beginner and have not raced any birds yet. I have a team of 13 as of now and they are

trapping from 2 mile tosses just as soon as they get home. Ed
