Guest karl adams Posted April 7, 2008 Report Posted April 7, 2008 what would you do if another pigeon fancer lets his birds out at 8 oclock in the morning and leaves them out till late on a night on a race day and his loft is only 40 feet away from yours
retired Posted April 7, 2008 Report Posted April 7, 2008 Had it up until about two years ago when he moved to Greece his loft was behind straight behind mine. I always got on with him well till a saturday, best bet is to just ask him if he will leave them in on a race day if he wont there really you are buggered. On a brighter note i found when i had my birds motivated well enough his did not bother mine from getting back to there box and hen/cock
chucka Posted April 7, 2008 Report Posted April 7, 2008 karl having that happen by me he lets is hens out when he see my cocks out i have tried all times but he must watch me let them out
DOVEScot Posted April 7, 2008 Report Posted April 7, 2008 Have a polite word, then you will know if he is just being thoughtless or just a tw#t, I take it he does not race his birds
Guest karl adams Posted April 7, 2008 Report Posted April 7, 2008 he may still be a member of the rpra but i dont think he flys in a club any more he waits for me to lose my birds out and then nocks his out in to them then he leaves them out all day long
DOVEScot Posted April 7, 2008 Report Posted April 7, 2008 And they wonder why the sport is in decline :-/
Guest chrisss Posted April 7, 2008 Report Posted April 7, 2008 truth be told mate [and i am sorry to say this] but if you have a word with him and he understands, but still lets his birds out on race days, there is not much you can do about it ,unless he affects any one elses birds, or you knock ten bells of xxxx out of him, he is not breaking any rules [rpra style] years ago there was a famous flyer [whos name escapes me] who used to have his babies out on a race day [to get them used to breaking, his excuse]
thunderboult Posted April 7, 2008 Report Posted April 7, 2008 it could help you in a way as your birds will get used to breaking away from other birds , might help you on race days
Guest karl adams Posted April 7, 2008 Report Posted April 7, 2008 but you can not go round hitting 60 year old that should have more respect for others in the sport even tho he never did any good with his birds
