How many 1sts do you want ?

DUPLICATING ?, A Good or Bad Thing.

 

We get clubs and federations now that are duplicating there races into National type races.

What do you think of this, i feel a bird can really only win one first in a race and that is the overall Champion.  Maybe 1st section at a push, but nothing more. The rest are for 2nd rate fanciers or the sellers for advertising.

 

In one race, as a for instance, you could be 1st Open MNFC, 1st Section, 1st Open Federation, 1st Section Federation, 1st Club.

That goes down a treat for someone selling birds (5 x 1sts to them) but the bird has won one race, that's all.

 

WHAT DO YOU FEEL ABOUT DUPLICATION. :-/ :X

Well you should deffinately have a section and an open winner.A bit undecided on the rest as position of the loft certainly has a lot to do with the results so in some circumstance's a club win and federation card is a good result in its own right even if your not up in the combine results.But dodgy sellers will allways find a way to boost sales.

Our Fed compete in th MNFC and If I get a good pigeon, I want all the firsts I can get.

The pigeon deserves it!

However I disagree with fanciers in 2 or 3 clubs duplicating their result with 1 pigeon from the same race to claim more 1sts

If you compete in club, fed,section, open and national then you are competing in 5 competitions so if you win them all you do in fact win 5 x 1sts, I understand what you are saying but if you look at it logically that is fact, but this should be stated in any adverts but as we know most of them don,t because it doesn,t look as good.
