conny77 Posted August 24, 2008 Report Posted August 24, 2008 there are a lot of people out there who may think that we are novices but this is not the case. in november of last year i lost my dad to cancer with whom i had a partnership of over 15 years. my dad didn't take it too seriously and never got the best from the birds. this resulted in me taking over the pigeons with my two sons who are novices shortly after he died. i took over everything we had including stock birds which may i add have very good pedigrees and we paid a lot of money for. we had to move the loft which i guess didn't help with the old birds but i was hoping for better results with the young birds. the problem is that i can't seem to get the best from my birds no matter what i try. over the years i have tried many different things but most have had little effect to my birds results. i know it cant be the birds that are at fault but i can't understand where i am going wrong. my birds are out everyday twice wheather permitted and trained to around 25 miles to which i keep them around 2 to 3 times a week.the birds are also on the best corn and i use tonic and vitimans in the water also i use orego stim twice a week as well as giving them matrix. i have stuck it out for too long realy just being behind and i want to change this because im worried that my kids might start to lose interest. they are only 8 and 9 and i consider kids of this age the future of the sport. so if anyone out there can help us in any way we would be very greatful.
