Yes, for example in those apartment,the loft can not be go beyond the balcony, in some place it is strict ,some place is not.But the most important thing is to get along with your neighbours. but if is the detached house,you needn't to worry about this kind things.In china,most fancier buy house,their will choose the highest floor of the building,because it has a attic.
