Guest Posted December 6, 2007 Report Posted December 6, 2007 Pigeon Health 01206-842221 , will send out a test kit same day (£15) and phone you back at a set time on the day they receive it. Kit & medicines if treatment required could cost around £50. Period of treatment 10 - 14 days or more, during which the birds are confined to the loft.. As you can see, it all takes time, and in my opinion, the last period you want all this to happen is in the racing season. You've the breeding season right before that, and again, in my opinion, you don't want it in that period either. My own intention is to do it the month before I pair up, i.e January.
Guest Posted December 6, 2007 Report Posted December 6, 2007 Meant to mention David Parsons has a special offer on just now, buy his new health CD for £15 and he will include a voucher for a free cocci & worm test. May be able to trade that up as a discount on a fuller test? http://www.poultryhealthcentre.com/DVD/special_offer.htm
kaybee Posted December 6, 2007 Report Posted December 6, 2007 Tests should be done 4-6 weeks prior to pairing up and 4 weeks before racing. I would recommend the Retford Poultry Partnership 01777 703011. This company are being entrusted with the responsibility of checking the health of the birds in the Edin. Int. One Loft Race.
