In the passed I have used tablet form (Avicas Wormer) to worm my birds but a few months ago a bought some Harkers Liquid wormer, does anyone else use this and would you say that it is used as a preventative as good as a tablets. I only have 8 birds so how often would I need to use it.

i very rarely wormed my birds in all the years I kept them, but would use it annually if you feel you need too

I only used it when a droppings sample test showed that it was required. After finishing the course, I wouldn't use it again - unless it was required.

In my opinion there is no such thing as preventative worming treatment. On the face of it you've either got them - or you haven't. Having the droppings tested will tell which.
