Hi all

9 days have past since i vaccinated my birds against Pox.

Yesterday i handled about 40 of them and to my surprice only 3 had the Pox growth.

Whatv does this meen?

1.There immunity is to strong for the vaccine to take effect ? ;)

2.The vaccine was of poor quality? :o

I purchased the vaccine from a reliable store and the expiry date is only in 2010.

Any comments would be appreciated.

VACCINE.... is just what it is, your birds are fine, if they had pox when you vaccinated it will not cure them, it is a preventative measure, so should be done before they get pox. but the vaccine is in fact live pox virus and this may manifest itself and come out in the odd case, pigeons get over pox just make sure they eat and drink well and they should be ok. but monitor it closely.
