they start to breed at 6 to8 weeks and have about 12 young per nest so if you ve only got 10 you might have a few to get yet I used to have the birds in an old piggery and they lived under the concrete took me years to get shot of them  I knew a guy in East Lothian who kept ferrets  he swore they kept them away just by he smell of them By tyhe way they stink so maybe he had a point

are you selling these and what have they won for you ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

joking aside keep the traps down m8 and even when you dont get any more leave them down.

rats are a massive problem ..ive had them here a few years back as my back garden joins onto fields.

dont buy the rubbish bait you get in packets...go to a farmers outlet and ask there for bait.

the bait i used was a bit of smoked mackerel smear it onto the fen trap plate and dont go to far away youll get a result in a peerie blink

mind and tie the trap down or theyll take it away and eat the deed one for free.

were did u get dem traps :)

These are really good traps for rats and you can also get them for mice, they are made of tough plastic, a strong spring and teeth round the edge to kill the rat when it traps. They are also easy to set by pressing the back of the trap so it saves your fingers getting caught!!!!!!! If you e-mail www.thepetshop-online.co.uk the can get hold of them, I think last time thry were about £2.00 each.

start  against a wall.////////form a tunnel out of brick on edge to get a bit height so the trap can go off///if possible make it an offset in shape  and at the wee kink in the tunnel set the trap and cover it with a slate ///the trap will be ab out 12 to 18 " from either entrance /// do not cover the plate /// rat tend to hop about and it will jump onto the plate  to keep up its momentum./ you will see the urine trails or greasy marks where they are working that how you get them becaue they have not got good eyesight they fo;;ow thier noses  ensure that you cover the entire length of your tunnel or youll get the wee birds going in for a neb I have also used 4" plastci pipe set up as above and it works
