Guest CS Posted December 7, 2006 Report Posted December 7, 2006 how can we improve the immune system and aviod antibiotics,? no. 1 tip Important for the pigeon fancier is the fact that Apple Cider Vinegar does not carry the E.Coli bacteria, as the acidity in the vinegar is effective in killing the 0-157 strains of E.Coli bacteria , water is the biggest transmitter od ecoli bacteria no. 2 tip Garlic . average clove of garlic weighs between three and six grams and contains an average of 1 gram of carbohydrates (90% of which is in a starchy form called sinistrin), 0.2 gram of protein, 0.05 gram of fiber, 0.01 gram of fat and vitamins A, B1, B2, B3 and C. The Vitamin B1 (thiamine) is combined with the allicin and called allithiamine and is easily absorbed garlic is richer than any other food in adenosine, a nucleic acid which is a building block of DNA and RNA. For years pigeon flyers have used garlic for the positive influence on blood and circulation. Most use garlic oil on feed.[/b] no 4. Tip Elderberry Organic Elderberry Extract (Pg. 23) This may aid in the battle against the various virus that plague our birds. Used by fanciers who suspect that they have PMV, Circovirus, Adenovirus and unnamed viruses. One dropper full per gallon o drinking water, In persistent or difficult situations, the dosage may be doubled or tripled. One bottle will make approximately 30 gallons No. 5 tip Fybogel Balls(husk balls) Required flour 1cup water to mix Fybogel husk 1 sachet 30 in box mix in bowl to a thick dough roll dough into small pea size balls place on baking tray place in oven and cook till hard just like peas cool then feed to birds as a tit bit daily they will run aft er you once they get the taste for them what does it do fybogel is made from Ispghula husks natural fibre that soak up water its great for loose droppings you will not have loose droppings the next day fanciers used to think it cleared out worms but i think its better for control of wet droppings.

schyphos Posted December 9, 2006 Report Posted December 9, 2006 Craig, Have you not read my watering system on another post.If you have and you think it will not work or be beneficial, believe me you will not build a better immune system within the bird than what i have formulated. I have used my knowledge on nutrition, with working with competitive bodybuilders,20 years of studying nutrition. If you have not seen my post then i apologise for my ramblings. The information you have written above is spot on and beneficial, hopefully fanciers can benefit from what we have divulged and refrain from having to give excessive use of anti-biotics.Some of the stuff you have posted lately has been invaluable for pigeon racing, such as the article on carbohydrates.People really should take note of this important material.Keep posting this valuable information.Well done Craig.
