chichichi Posted October 26, 2007 Report Posted October 26, 2007 WE USE FLAXSEED OIL FOR THE MOULT AND WE FIND IT TO BE VERY GOOD...EVEN THE DARKNESS BIRDS FALL APART AFTER HAVING THIS OIL...WE PUT IT ON THE FOOD AND ITS FULL OF ESSENTIAL ACIDS AND OMEGA 3 ....ANY ONE ELSE USE THIS STUFF.....COSTS A BIT THOUGH....JUST BOUGHT ORGANIC ONE AND PAID 8.50 FOR 300ML DELIVERED....
Guest Posted October 26, 2007 Report Posted October 26, 2007 What you call flax seed is better known in pigeon circles as Linseed. It is part of most Moulting mixes and the seed is reasonably cheap to buy.. can even get it in Asda mixed with its mate, hemp, a tit-bit, trapping mix.
chichichi Posted October 26, 2007 Author Report Posted October 26, 2007 I KNOW THAT BRUNO,,,BUT WE DON'T LIKE TO GIVE TO MUCH LINSEED.SCOURS THEM....FLAXSEED OIL....IS MUCH BETTER AND EASY TO GIVE...LOTS DON'T KNOW ABOUT THE OIL....
Guest Hjaltland Posted October 26, 2007 Report Posted October 26, 2007 I've used linseed from time to time in very small quantities, doesnt half put a shine on the plumage.... and the birds like it too.....(hehe)
