I ahve had a couple of chicks this season who were really slow in growing. One I culled the other day after realizing he would never even feather out. He was six weeks old and still too small to band. The other is a little older and not quite so slow but seems to have come to a standstill over the last few days. I felt of his crop and it was`nt full but not empty I know he gets fed.I watched em feed him last night. this morning I added anti biotic to the drinking water. I had an adult bird earlier this season seemed to go off a little and a round made them fit again.

Any suggestions as to what it could be?

If it does not thrive at this time of the year ---- it will never be any good.

REALLY THINK YOU SHOULD LOOK IN TO THINGS CLOSER, AS THERES SOMETHING FAR WRONG MAKE SURE YOU HAVE PLENTY GRIT ,MINERALS, PICK STONES AND A GOOD PROTEIN MIX  BUT REALLY THAT YB AT 6 WEEKS IS NOT GOING TO BE ANY GOOD, SORRY TO SAY ,BUT IF YOU DELVE IN TO IT DEEPER , YOULL SEE THE ROOT OF THE PROBLEM , AND HOPEFULLY NEXT YEAR BREED SOME NICE ONES  :)
