wings Posted August 3, 2008 Report Posted August 3, 2008 Hi i wonder if any body may be able to advice me on my young birds, They have had a touch of young bird sickness over 2 weeks ago but seem fine now they are flying an hour in the morning and an hour at night and are being trained from 30 mile and are seeming to come well, but there are a few in the loft that are holding corn in there crops when i check them in a morning, none of them seem to be sick the droppings are fine and there in no sick on the perches in the morning, i have treated for canker and coccsi, could any body advice why they are still holding corn. Thanks Wings
bewted Posted August 3, 2008 Report Posted August 3, 2008 maybe the ones holding corn are getting more than the others ,,,just a suggestion !!!
steve d Posted August 3, 2008 Report Posted August 3, 2008 If there flying an hour morning and an hour at night it aint sickness. If you are feeding them in feeders make sure they can get equal amounts of food. I prefer to feed on floor so I know some aint having more than others ;) ;)
bewted Posted August 3, 2008 Report Posted August 3, 2008 yes,,,as some pigeons eat faster and more than others !!!

Wings Time you feed might be determined by your work routine. At the mo, I'm twice-a-day too, 7.30am and 7.30pm. I need to judge amounts too, especially at night, cos I need to be sure they'll come in when called in morning, so mine are main meal morning, and more of a snack at night.
