i have a pair of stock birds they bred 1 bird for me and went down on the second round but both died within 4 days of each other 1 today 1 4 days ago any idea why

nothing snidy meant by this but going back to white bird you killed ?you said at time you never knew why but you had rats i think you need to look hard at what is going on with youer loft and birds mate or you may come unstuck big time adults do not just die within couple days of each other

if 2 have had it it will go through the loft, if its in the stock loft prob down to vermin, contaminated food and poor hygene!

ok thanks its not rats numpty as i do not have any !! lol they were long go with the help of ratters constant poison and traps on the farm, and in the back garden no rats as we have 3 cats and the nabourghs all have cats and there is no problems there but the young birds are spot on solid droppings  and fighting me so bought them and hand rearing them for the last couple of days as they are about 18 -19 days old

just commenting on the reason given before if its not rats then you need to sus it out quick and not place anybirds with other fanciers till you diffo know what it is

Are you using nest felts :-/

nest felts wouldn't kill old birds, young may survive but could be carriers, dispose of now!
