chrisbonnie Posted May 23, 2009 Report Posted May 23, 2009 just lets my ybs out, ive only 10, anyway, 9 went off fine, but one just stayed in the sputnik, anyway, i go into the loft to give it a clean, the 1 remaining fella finally goes out, but he just cowered in a corner of the garden, i eventually had to pick him up and put him back in myself, i noticed his right wing is hanging a TINY bit low off his chest, not a mile down now, but definetly its a little lower, to be safe ive seperated him from the others, and gave him some fod and water any ideas?
Peckedhen Posted May 23, 2009 Report Posted May 23, 2009 Feel it for any break comparing it to the other. Might be a bumped wing, look under feathers for bruising. Any swelling in joints? Keep it separated in case its something more ominous.
Guest Owen Posted May 23, 2009 Report Posted May 23, 2009 If it's still in low condition tomorrow, you will need to look into what is happening. Pecked Hen was right you need to conduct a thorough examination. The good news is that it has probably had a bump and it will fully recover. The bad news is that if it has broken the part of the wing that does not contain marrow, it will never heal. Again as Pecked Hen said, be careful to examine for lumps on the joints. That could be a sign of para typhoid. If you have the slightest doubt, contact a Vet.
