holmsidelofts Posted March 21, 2010 Report Posted March 21, 2010 I had one this year and i dont think its calcium deficiency as my birds get matrix grit everyday and they get a calcium and vit d supplement in there water 3 times a week at least a month before pairing. My bird still cant fly and is now sitting on youngsters. I have had to lock them away in there box now. So really dont now whats the problem is. normally if its calcium its there legs that go, i've never had wing issues. this has been with this hen for 5 weeks now, so not looking good for her after she has finished rearing, She is fine and healthy other than that. very strange?
Ian Of Suffolk Posted March 21, 2010 Report Posted March 21, 2010 Had the same thing with a hen that had just laid Calcium tab. plenty of grit and minerals all the time lesson learned. Ian
