Bluey is moulting - neck looking a bit scrawny, and around his eyes, he's losing feathers.  Looks a bit of a state compared with how he usually looks.  Makes him look years older.

 

I've never had a pigeon going through a moult before.  I think the time to get through a moult depends largely on the birds condition/health?  On average though, any pointers on how long it usually takes, and should I be giving any additional supplements?

He will take a couple of weeks to tidy up around head etc.

Best thing to do is give plenty of regular baths but no need to change what your doing.
