when do pigeons moult and when is resting for pigeons

kinda hard to answer that phil,, they actualy moult all year round,, but the" big" moult usually starts after theve moulted their 6th or so main flight feathers , the moult of these flight feathers usually starts after theve sat on their second round of eggs for more than 10-12 days , so maybe easier to say that in general, the pigeons have their big ,main moult in autumn,  nature having it they have their new coats for the winter,

at the time of this main, big moult they are better rested then , so that they complete a good moult
