kinda hard to answer that phil,, they actualy moult all year round,, but the" big" moult usually starts after theve moulted their 6th or so main flight feathers , the moult of these flight feathers usually starts after theve sat on their second round of eggs for more than 10-12 days , so maybe easier to say that in general, the pigeons have their big ,main moult in autumn,  nature having it they have their new coats :) for the winter,

at the time of this main, big moult they are better rested then , so that they complete a good moult  :)
