had a young bird return after training toss 3 days later..looks like it has hit wires cut looks straight across leg area about 3 inches long...bird a little worse for wear...wound has aq lot of dry blood...whats best way to treat

if its dried up and nothing broken then just let it rest, it'll want to go out for a fly in a couple of days!

hi mate , just make sure the wound is cleaned up use some germerline or savlon

cheap but very good , had one old hen who flew in to wires above my loft this season

and ripped her crop right down the middle clean as a whistle you could not have done any

better with a blade .

left her alone in a box for a week with a bandage round her chest for a few days healed

up very well been on two chucks to 20 miles but was a few hours late so now resting for next season

they are a very tough animal hope this helps .
