Guest spin cycle Posted April 24, 2008 Report Posted April 24, 2008 thats you told craig! in fairness to shadow it probably has been done . but i,for one, missed it. i'm using malting barley at the moment and so far so good. theroretically malting barley should be a good source of simple sugars and so easily released energy. it should therefore be a good 'foil' for beans/peas ( higher protein). last year, after a good start, i 'fattened' my birds on maize.....and lost form for 6 weeks (beginners mistake). i am wondering, however, how far they can go on barley. i guess i'm going to find out.
