Guest IB Posted April 2, 2009 Report Posted April 2, 2009 I'm not sure what unpolished rice is. I feed brown rice which is 'white rice with it's coat left on'. This 'coat' is usually removed, but it contains vitamins, and these are obviously lost during processing.
Speckled Jim Posted June 5, 2009 Author Report Posted June 5, 2009 Did a little more research on this and found out unpolished rice is also known as Paddy rice because its the rice that comes direct from the paddy fields before the husks are removed and it is cleaned up (polished). I noticed Versele-Laga have it in some of there grain mixes.
fletch Posted June 5, 2009 Report Posted June 5, 2009 my dad gives them a handful of rice 1 hour before baskating if its going to be a hot day on race day
