jimmy white Posted September 6, 2008 Report Posted September 6, 2008 With more bookings to confirm Jimmy it looks as if we'll be able to bring down the price to £30 per customer up to 4 Birds which is exactly what we promised. Just waiting on confirmation from the others and let all know. Always nice to have a surprise when it comes to pay when your told your paying to much and we give you a fiver back, every penny counts. And yes, we 100% care for the pigeons, they're what its all about, we're adamant that pigeons and heavy goods shouldn't be mixed even if it means saving a couple of pounds, lets think of the birds as well as our pockets. looks like im paying £30 now,, ;D lets hope he gets more deliveries ;D might even get it cheaper ;D
PigeonTracker Posted September 6, 2008 Report Posted September 6, 2008 But he is a bird man and takes 'em home feeds and waters until he can deliver The Phantom Flyer roger does a good job with his birds, and as fanciers ourselves we will never put couriers down who do. Holding a bird is not a problem for us and is often something a good courier has to do just to make sure the bird is both fit to travel and it helps to keep costs down.
Guest chrisss Posted September 7, 2008 Report Posted September 7, 2008 J Cooper 35 for up to four birds then 2.50 a bird after that, but not highlands and islands of Scotland :-/ http://www.jcooperlogistics.co.uk/www.jcooperlogistics.co.uk/info.php?p=1&pno=0 i have just noticed that on "another site" they are claiming that it is 25.00 for 6 birds!!!! [if you are a member ;D ;D ;D]i have sent a mail to them do not hold your breath Prices £25.00 to move 1 bird same price for 2 same price for 3 same price for 4 same price for 5 same price for 6 !!! Purchase 6 birds (for instance) and you live in Kent - and they need to go to Belfast? Dublin? Newcastle? All you pay in this instance is TWENTY FIVE QUID For every pigeon above 6, it's just £2.00 each this is a direct copy of it that i pinched from the site
ChrisMaidment08 Posted September 7, 2008 Report Posted September 7, 2008 some dope putting flyers around 25 quid up to 25 mies 1 pound mile after in wales ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
Guest chrisss Posted September 7, 2008 Report Posted September 7, 2008 my point is/was why can't this site get a discount like that we have more "viewers" than them therefore more clout
ChrisMaidment08 Posted September 7, 2008 Report Posted September 7, 2008 ah but we have 3 stray lofts they dont
PigeonTracker Posted September 8, 2008 Report Posted September 8, 2008 I'm not going to poke fun at other couriers as tempting as it might be, secondly you don't have to us them, or if they're incredibly cheap such as 25 to Dublin then they can take my birds as well. ??) Just to make it clear for the members here that Pigeon Tracker are as transparent and more importantly realistic about our pricing structure, it can be found by following this link. http://www.pigeontracker.com/prices.html We beleive our pricing is fair and the fact that the more birds we carry each trip the more likely we're able to pass on this saving to our customers shows that we're not putting profit first. As for the 'Dope' Chris, Our fee is simular only we stop at the base price, and not wanting to get into an argument I do think it needs to be made clear that 25 for up to 25 miles would mean in real terms up to 50 miles as it would be there and back, pretty fair when you take into account it takes a gallon of petrol to get up each mountain in Wales. ??)
ChrisMaidment08 Posted September 8, 2008 Report Posted September 8, 2008 over 25 miles 1pound a mile not many going to sent for bird 25 miles away are they so price is pricy in my viewcost max 8 quid
jimmy_84 Posted September 8, 2008 Report Posted September 8, 2008 direct from pigeon tracker website Collection and Delivery throughout the United Kingdom is based on a standard rate of £30 per bird up to 4 Pigeons plus £2 per bird thereafter. (£35 flat rate for distances of more than 150 Miles per round trip.) so should that read £30 for upto 4 birds then £2 per birds after that
