PigeonTracker Posted October 20, 2008 Report Posted October 20, 2008 None of the above are approved by the RPRA as they don't endorse anyone and to the best of my knowledge only Pigeon Tracker have taken the time to get an approved licence from the Government. (I may stand corrected on that though). Although as pointed out to Duncan I can't publish the licence here I can at least post our authorization number. UK/CARDI/T2/00034674 When it comes to Livestock there is a different requirement which includes the company drivers to take a test for a certificate of competancy which is carried out by a Defra approved examiner. Pigeons, Doves and Cage and Aviary are exempt from this, only wild fowl, animals like pigs and so on require the latter. Hope that helps. Jamie

That is why I put it in red writing :-/ But I am sure these guys are working within the law
PigeonTracker Posted October 21, 2008 Report Posted October 21, 2008 That is why I put it in red writing :-/ But I am sure these guys are working within the law I did spot the red Duncan and know you posted with that intention, good on you. Vallance lofts asked a question and I answered it nothing more, to the best of my knowledge and I'll stick by it unless corrected, not one other courier has taken the time to get authorization. This doesn't mean they are not allowed to it just means they aren't or haven't been given authorization to.

PigeonTracker Posted October 21, 2008 Report Posted October 21, 2008 ...I don't understand how no other couriers apart from you are authorised to, can you explain...Possibly because we took the time to find out about how to go about getting authorized to carry, then made an application which was subsequently approved. What I did say was that it was to the best of my knowledge and I might well be wrong, don't think so but if I am that's great as it means others have taken the time to do their homework which is what should have been done.
Flyin Couriers Posted October 21, 2008 Report Posted October 21, 2008 We have looked into this too and your absolutely right if a carrier wants to carry any sort of animal they should have a licence to do so.
