just to let anyone who has birds being picked up, make sure you have birds in boxes ready as they have just called here with no boxes. they have run out of boxes.

i didnt have any at all so couldnt help them out...so someones birds are spending xmas here. feel sorry for the new owner but it cant be helped........paul.

 

i even looked for a cardboard box but to no avail.

hi paul the person in question that called to yours just now was wayne! You were told by myself that we had no boxes on board last night and when you called my self today as we have had a rush on if you ask anyone else that i have picked up from today they will tell you the same. Also we dont charge for our boxes unlike some so they are free from us and that is our choice. If you send with royal mail or other couriers you do have to box yourself. Im sure you did have a cardboard box on your stairs as your wife pointed it out your words were and i quote " im not using mines" so facts before mouthing off please as this is not the first time you have done this to ourselfs. Why you are being like this with ourselfs ill never know as we are doing a job and working over the xmas period to get everyone birds to them and people like yourself delay us.

well tracker more than welcome as you keep saying   now this is twice you have given prob to flying so both times they have to come back last time you told them no chance for collection now this time they will have to come back  if you had box why the problem  or could you not nip across rd to shop for one???

Instead of arguing with other members contact myself but we will not be picking up from yourself again as i have contacted all my fanciers of who they belong to as this is now twice you have done this to ourself i did think after the first we had resolved it but sadly not.

Well im sure if i used a courier service boxes are included in the cost , if i ordered a pizza i would be disapointed when it arrived mushed up because i dint ask them to provide the box , all pizza deliverys come in a box , and all pigeon couriers should have boxes its part of there service there supplying . Must be loads of Amtrax boxes at depots all over free , if not im sure you can order enough to enable your buisness to run

although a valid point oldyellow   we dont know how maney boxs were on board full if someone told me they never had box i would find one not wait till they got there and say no aint got one so come back again some on here are working for us not having weeks off

you cannot get anything from a amtrak depot as they went into liquidation and everything was locked in the warehouse before being moved to a central location

debs before you make out that ur blameless, its ur firm and you should have made  sure that your firm had enough boxes to cover demand, if i was asked by you to put them in boxes i would have .

the box you refer too would not have been ok for 3 birds ....1,as the cock would have scapled the hens in there. so in my defence it was also done for the good of the birds.2 there was no top to the box.

i did not post the thread to blame your firm or to make it look silly it was to let fanciers know of this so be ready for it....but its been taken the wrong way .

theres not really a correct answer here, is there? courrier had no box, customer didnt have one either, whos problem is it?

i would expect the corriour to provide the box if i was paying for it, but if its free then tough if they have none left.
