pigeon in garden

hi a pigeon with a blue ring as been in my garden since wednesday it is a very shy bird please could any one tell me why it as a blue ring i thought thy only had white rings i can get no were near it to get the ring number thanks rita.

The ring colour changes every year Rita.  Does it just have the one ring on?

hi it just as the one ring as i say i cannot  get  near to read ring number it spends the night on my roof  well spends most of its time there only feeding  occasionally  rita. :'(

There's not a lot we can do to identify the owner if you can't get near him. After a few good meals, when he's built up his strength, he may well fly home. On the other hand, he may decide that he's on to a good thing and stay with you!!
