hi just wondering i have a hen thats layed a egg as big as a chicken egg i put torch under it and it has 2 yokes but wont be able t see if fertile till a few days time has anybody experienced anything like this and if so did 2 y/b come out of egg?thanks scott

Had them before but none have hatched although im sure some peoples double yokers will have

only seen it twice with a pair of short faced tumblers one egg was smashed which had double yolk and other one egg had two chicks hatch no problem , never seen it in racers tho ;)

had a pair of german beauty homers, that hatched 2 from one egg lived only 1 day

checked egg today and seems one yoke is fertile should i leave and see if chipps out or should i dump it as the other egg the hen layed is ok thanks scott :)

Our 'Fed winners' video a few years back featured a double-yoked egg hatching out. Neither youngster survived. Much better to ditch this egg now and allow the pair to raise the single 'good' egg.
