:)just been out feeding birds .then i heard the squeak squeak of my 1st yb,s just hatched :)it is a beautiful noise to hear and put a smile on my face.

I am like you, I never tire of seeing and handling my youngsters. It is hard for me not to have favourites, but every year is the same, I always seem to watch certain birds. I know I should not do it but I always do. And I never seem to be able to pick the best racers because the best ones are always in the background until they appear on the loft ahead of the others. Happy Days :)

i will find it easy to pick my best yb.will put their photos up and if like last year the one that oldyellow does not like will proberly be the best yb ;D ;D ;D thats me telling her that oldyellow said he did not like her.her goal this year is to get an inland nat ticket from the 1st inland national

to be fair to oldyellow he liked her nest mate.if he did not disappear of loft via hawk or wire i dont think she would have beat him.

how true owen its like a death wish when you pick it out its the 1st one to go down a friend used to tell me if someone comes into your loft and picks out a bird just give it to him as it wont be there for long this is a great time of year and you cant wait to see what colour they turn out not that it matters anyway ;)
