Blue Hen - Carmarthen

Two days ago a Blue hen landed in our garden, she looks in excellent condition, cannot see a ring on her but she is definitely a homing pigeon. We gave her food and water but she just seems lost.  She had been sleeping on my shed at night.  Unable to catch her at present to see if she has a ring or wing stamp.

hello.if she,s sleeping on your shed at night wait untill it gets dark and then you should be able to just pick her up off the top of the shed(if you can reach).she won,t offer much resistance in the dark.paul

If it hasn't got a ring it may be just a ferral pigeon, if you give it some food and most importantly water it will prob clear off in a couple of days.

I used keep racing pigeons and I believe she is a homing pigeon, by the way she is acting. I will have to try and catch her in the next few days. Thanks for the advice.
