Hello

There are two beautiful pidgeons with rings on their legs roosting outside my window.

I have tried to tempt them into a pet box with bird seed and water but to no avail.

Because of their position I am not able to get to them to check their id numbers

Any ideas how I could reunite them with their owners?

I know nothing about pidgeons and need advice or help!

If you know anyone near Rye in east sussex who has a ladder and knowledge of pidgeons I would love some help!

Thanks

Kaye

the problem is to reunite them with there owners they need to be caught.

If you feed them for a couple of days they may continue on there journey alternatively continue to entice them into a box where you can confine them.

thanks for takeing the time to help them.

They have been here for about a week and seem rather settled in! There is a lovely sheltered area for them and I love the noise they make but I would rather they were at home where they belong!

if the window can be opened day time when birds roost at night .dont put room light on then yourself or someone will be able to catch them.

its tricky 2 catch them da best time is when its dark they maybe able 2 be court then, over 3 or 4 days of feedin them less than a ounce of feed pair day, u should win there trust, throwin seed down they should come in to ur house but shut ur curtains in case they fly at the windows, der should be a local club in ur area who could help. the more u feed them the longer they will stay. good luck.
