I've had a few e-mails asking if we will be doing the same or similar thing for 2008 and can people put their names down for it.

well I personally would like to see how this years racing goes, I don't mind doing the same again next year but I would like you to refrain from sending your details until the end of the 2007 season, I will put an up-date here nearer the time for our 2008 competition.

we are working on a few new ideas for 2008, what do you think?

1......having races 3 and 5 has 'hot-spot races with the first bird to arrive back getting a cash prize plus the 12 points.

2......the final race will still be decided by the points after all the races, 1st bird gets 12 points, 2nd bird 11 points, etc. etc. down to 12th bird gets 1 point.

3......we can make the loft big enough for approx 70 birds

4......2 bird limit per fancier and fanciers can 'buy' their own back, for those who did not enter this year 'buy' means you actually buy the bird (if its here at the end of the season)(and you provide carriage back to your own loft), and your name at the side of your chosen bird for the competition.

5......we had a few problems getting money in this year so, each bird will only eligable for points and prizes once a 'buyer' has paid for said bird.

6......prices......70 birds sold at £25 each

7......prizes (based on 70 birds at £25 each,......

3rd race (hot-spot) 1st bird timed receives £50 for the breeder and £50 for 'buyer' of that bird.

5th race (hot-spot) 1st bird timed receives £50 for the breeder and £50 for the 'buyer' of that bird.

Final race prizes, bird with most points £300 for breeder of said bird and £300 for 'buyer' of said bird.

bird with 2nd most points £200 for breeder of said bird and £200 for buyer of said bird.

Bird with 3rd most points £100 for breeder of said bird and £100 for buyer of said bird.

These are just ideas at the moment, we're planning on having a full rules list on our website in the next 2 weeks, then anyone who wishes to take part can let me know.
