Guest REDFOXKRAUTHS Posted July 28, 2006 Report Posted July 28, 2006 will any nehave some cheap white racers in 2007 for sale,i would prefer pure whites or near white,or even very gay pieds, ben (aged 13)
korhil Posted July 29, 2006 Report Posted July 29, 2006 hi ben, is it wise having white racers where you are in cornwall? as the hawk problem down your way is quite bad isnt it? and they will spot whites from miles away?
THE FIFER Posted July 29, 2006 Report Posted July 29, 2006 I PERSONALY DO NOT THINK WHITE BIRDS DRAW THE HAWKS ANYMORE THAN ANY OTHER COLOUR THEY CAN SEE ANY BIRD FROM A GREAT DISTANCE,
Guest Posted July 29, 2006 Report Posted July 29, 2006 Ben, Keep in touch with me over the winter and I will send you a nest pair of of this grizzle hen. She has bred me some outstanding pigeons one of them being a pure white hen which has results as long as your arm. Two of her best results being 19th Open London and Southeast Classic club San Sebastian 540miles 2004, and this year in a very hard London and Southeast Classic Club Bergerac (NE wind) she is prov 33rd Open. All the best young man
Guest Posted July 29, 2006 Report Posted July 29, 2006 I think you are right there Fifer I have raced my pure white hen for 4 years now - she has been over the water 20 times now, inland numerous times. She has been 1st or 2nd bird in the BICC from 9 nationals and 1st in the london and southeast classic club 3 times. Maybe its cause she is chased by hawks all the way home (lol). People do still say white ones don't last long but her and her sister say different. Cheers
westy Posted July 29, 2006 Report Posted July 29, 2006 i have pure white birds and when hawks come they have taken my darkens so i think it dont matter about the colour.
