jakjak Posted December 4, 2006 Report Posted December 4, 2006 I am after some Silver Workman Bakers, preferably bred by Louella, but not essential as quality is my first priority. However they must have pedigrees. And must be silvers!
Wiley Posted December 4, 2006 Report Posted December 4, 2006 i think ur going to have a hardship there as louella stopped selling them years ago mate. And the pedigree situation it will be hard to get them as i know personally they do not have pedigree's for the Loella Lefebre Dhanens anymore! I hope this helps but theres a guy who advertises his Alf Baker pigeons in the homing world not sure on the colour maybe pompey mick can help you! Also if you want these pigeons the lines would be so dilute it would be unbelievable!hope it helps

Guest Posted December 4, 2006 Report Posted December 4, 2006 Hello jakjak i had workman bakers off Louella & Charlie Mcewan (patricia lofts) i gave all my stock birds to john ward in sheffield i have still got a few racers bred from the stock these have flown 400 north & 400 south although they are crossed if you should get stuck iv got 2 cheq pied cocks that nearly always throw a silver in each nest if you want the silver from the first round you are welcome to them but you must let me know as im pairing up early this year to let them raise 1 youngster each then parting to race roundabout
blackjack Posted December 4, 2006 Report Posted December 4, 2006 Hello leuella still advertise silver Baker pigeons give them a ring.
murphy Posted December 5, 2006 Report Posted December 5, 2006 Ron Williamson has silver barkers i had some off him this year and hes had them for 30yrs.Mine have flown the full YB programme without mistakes but are not fast enough to win inland but i didnt expect them to be.I bought them to check their brains before i use them as a cross into my own family. You will find him in the BHW earlier this year.Louella do have them but they are bred from many genarations of untried birds and i think they breed them for colour only.Hope this helps. Regards Andy
murphy Posted December 5, 2006 Report Posted December 5, 2006 Mine from Ron have had 6 hours on wing as youngsters and dont look bothered by it so i dont think they will have problems fo=rom 500+ miles which is what i want out of them
blackjack Posted December 5, 2006 Report Posted December 5, 2006 I fly Dick Baldwin silvers and they go well what are Mr Williamsons birds like ?.
