nutverlal Posted August 6, 2007 Report Posted August 6, 2007 hi there Anyone interested in swapping for a racing pigeon with tippler? Live around Birmingham. The owner of the racer does not want it back (would have amtrac it and then killed it) which was pointless. I have been given permission by the owner. As I only keep tipplers, I would like to swap or rehome it with another racer keeper? Can anyone help or advise?
Guest Posted August 6, 2007 Report Posted August 6, 2007 This is exactly the same situation I have been left in numerous times myself, stuck with a pigeon I have been kind enough to take in only to find the owner doesn't want to know and promptly plays the emmotional black mail card, neck it.They know you won't cos you are an animal lover so it becomes your problem, bet it just happens to be from a really good strain too and about as much use as a chocolate fire guard to you.The thing that annoys me the most about these people is that they seem to think you came down in the last shower and will believe whatever sob story they give you,it's not mine it's my mates,I am on the dole [so?] etc, etc.
Guest Greig the doo Drysdale Posted August 6, 2007 Report Posted August 6, 2007 if you report a pigeon the rpra and shu send you and the owner a letter with the word if this pigeon is not claimed within 7 days please return this letter saying unclaimed. why do you not do that?
little sam Posted August 7, 2007 Report Posted August 7, 2007 you know strain and age and coclour or if u can a picture may do me for a stock bird as i only have 1 pair at the moment
nipper Posted August 7, 2007 Report Posted August 7, 2007 Sam , If this bird had been a good racer ,the guy would have wanted it back ! If it had been good enough for stock ,he would have wanted it back ! He probably has another fifty like that in his loft ,and breeds the same crap every year . If you need stock birds ,Speak to some of your clubmates and at the end of the season I am sure you will get a couple of DECENT birds to start with . . We have all heard the story of the stray breeding fantastic winners ect ect,but they are few and far between .
little sam Posted August 7, 2007 Report Posted August 7, 2007 oh thought it was like a ok bird cheers m8 will ask some flyers i know ;)
