Guest Posted February 21, 2007 Report Posted February 21, 2007 The partnership of Henry Franks and Alan Baker would like to offer YB out of their race team at £15 each (carriage to be paid by purchaser), except the four pairs mentioned below at £25 each which we think are very good value. They will be available during the next three / six weeks. Pair 1, SVR both winners out of parents that have bred individual multi winners; Pair 2 a SVR hen same way bred as the hen of the above pair this hen has topped the West of England Continental Amalgamation (WECA) she is mated to a yearling cock out of what Alan calls the Carney no 1 pair, this pair were put together by Bill Carney, who said the cock of the pair would be a steal at £500 he was a YB at the time!!; Pair 3 A 2006 cock, that topped the WECA in 2006 (out of a cock that bred birds in 2006, to top the WECA OB racing and YB racing, and a 1st fed winner himself, Geoff Kirkland’s old family) mated to a Wildermesch (we bought for £35 at a Massarella old bird ‘clearance’ sale), he is mated to a yearling from one of Dave Woodlands long distance family. Fourth pair, cock 1st Club, 4th Saintes (379 miles) WECA 177th Cholet CSCFC x Hen that was 3rd Section Bordeaux (422 miles) NFC 2006 vel 912, only one sent! Alan flew non darkness YB last year and in the first two races had 11 land together and took 1,2,3 and 1,2,5. Henry continued the good work with darkness YB and won the YB averages at his loft! Many of the birds available will be from Yearlings many of whom have scored in 2006. They are ‘love matches’, they are there to race. We are very confident that we will do well with these birds and that they will breed some good birds as well please reply by pm thanks Albear
Guest Posted February 23, 2007 Report Posted February 23, 2007 Being a bit thick but don't quite understand the question, the advert says these are out of our race birds, it doesn't say anywhere that we won't be racing? Please explain your question.
tskyes Posted February 23, 2007 Report Posted February 23, 2007 you dont have 2 b thick 2 understand the question,if your selling young birds then it normally means u havent got time 2 race them !
Wiley Posted February 23, 2007 Report Posted February 23, 2007 you dont have 2 b thick 2 understand the question,if your selling young birds then it normally means u havent got time 2 race them ! wouldnt agree with the statement some people sell youngsters to get a bit of money for corn, training or even to help towards racing mate!
tskyes Posted February 23, 2007 Report Posted February 23, 2007 SO YOU ARE RACING THEN ? A SIMPLE YES OR NO WOULD OF DONE !
mark Posted February 24, 2007 Report Posted February 24, 2007 wouldnt agree with the statement some people sell youngsters to get a bit of money for corn, training or even to help towards racing mate! well put wiley
HHHH Posted February 24, 2007 Report Posted February 24, 2007 Albear away on hols at moment back Sunday. I am partner with albear we have a lot of stock birds at moment so all young from race birds for sale much to good to kill.
Guest Posted February 25, 2007 Report Posted February 25, 2007 tskyes, apologies if I've offended you. I genuinley dind't understand your question......there was nothing in my original post that sugested we weren't racing so I didn't (and still don't know why you thought we may not be racing) We are racing without question, we are extremely overstocked between our two lofts, our race birds went down later than our stock, between us we have 36 pair of stock!! We do not need to take from our race birds, but like them to have a round before racing starts, we have some excellent quality stock and race birds, we think (and I know we would ) that they are a bargain at the prices we are offering........... we also believe and this is not arrogance but confidence that we will become a very successful team over the coming years. As I say genuine apologies but I didn't understand what suggested we may not be racing.
tskyes Posted February 25, 2007 Report Posted February 25, 2007 offence was never taken mate ,sportsmenship is all i require and so (hopefully) is wot we all want !
Guest Posted March 11, 2007 Report Posted March 11, 2007 As some will have seen we put an advert in this weeks BHW and have sold a dozen or so, (not sold any through here). But those we have sold are those ready in two weeks time. We have 9 available this week that need to go. This includes the two from pair 2 and the two from pair 4 that we listed. The price we were looking for was £25 each for those and £15 for any others. They need to go by the end of this week, if we leave it another week they may be too old, we would therefore like to offer the 9 for £120, which we think is a bargain!! Please pm if you want them Thanks Alan
Guest Posted March 11, 2007 Report Posted March 11, 2007 Above sold thanks. We stiill have a few more for sale I will post more details when I've sorted out what they are. We will try and make them a good deal!!
