Guest Posted July 23, 2007 Report Posted July 23, 2007 I have 6 in the nest that are unrung, remiss of me not ringing them but too good to dispose of. They will be ready next week. They are available to the best bid by Thursday evening at 10 PM (if there are any!!) start bid at £30 for the 6 (buyer to pay carriage). All the breeders except one, last season was their first breeding season for me. Pair 1 two Yb Sire DK Cock (ring removed cause of swollen leg) bought at Lier market given to me by a friend this year, mated to a SVR hen (no pedigree) that bred me last year a YB to win 2 firsts for me. Pair 2 one Yb (only 1 hatched) Sire Bl Pd cock Busschaert Gson of Tyson bred winners before I bought him, bred a yearling hen that this year was 2nd Cholet 290 miles (beaten by .5 yard in a tough race!) and flew Saintes 380 mile (would have been 3rd if I'd clocked her next morning!!) paired to a hen I got on this site from Nancyview lofts (thank you) who said; ‘the pied hen is indeed bred in the purple she scored 3 times as a youngster before being ripped badly in the wires she is out of our good pied cock a winner of 4x1stsplus other top 4 positions before being put to stock and is now our number 1 stock cock breeding winners each year the pied hens dam was one of our top stock hens but died this year at only 8 years old the sire mainly Ian Stafford lines and the dam is off stock from mr/mrs dickens’ Pair 3 two YB Sire Van Der Wegen 2003 l/b bred from Andy Gregson both parents bred by Jac Van Der Wegen. Bred out of this cock in 2004 but sold his young when I moved to Devon at end of season. Dam a bit special bred by Ettiene Devos ‘Beauty Didi’ cost over £300 (when I thought I had some spare money and then found I didn’t!!). YB carrying two BBC gold rings this year for me. I have pedigrees for both these birds. Pair 4 one Yb (one hatched) Sire little Dutch Cock purchased at auction in the off season of 2004/5 when I moved down, I could not get him to mate this year, he wanted to mate with the Devos hen above (last year’s mate) and would not go with anything, he finally went with one of my race hens who I took away from him in March (to race her). He is now mated to a hen I had from Bilco (thank Bill) and she either topped the Fed or 2nd Fed she is I believe Van Loon. I have the pedigree for the Cock. Have put this on lunchtime at work will provide some more details on pair 3 and cock of pair 4 later today or if not tomorrow evening.
Guest Posted July 24, 2007 Report Posted July 24, 2007 I've had no interest and thought that may be the case, So I'll withdraw these 6 Thanks Alan
