I am listing all the birds belonging to very good friends of mine, Mr & Mrs Paul Rogers from Blackwood.

Back in 2000 Paul had to part with a lifetimes work building one of the best teams of Show Racers in the country due to lung problems. Late in 2006 and after moving house he decided he just couldn't be without birds any longer and started to obtain some quality birds to build a family.

Some birds were loaned to them and some were purchased from the late Fred Cross but all with one thing in mind building a top team.

For the last year Pauls health has continued to deteriorate with his Jenny left looking after the birds, breeding etc and making a fantastic job of it.

Paul now has sadly been diagnosed with cancer and the sad dessicion has been made to part with all birds and equiptment.

The money raised is to go towards the purchase of a mobility scooter for Paul and Jenny to use to get to the shops etc.

There will also be a donation made to the forum.

I have taken some quick pictures of the birds and will try and list the parents and youngsters together. Sex of the youngsters is not guarenteed but believed correct.

A price will be put against each bird and first PM for each will be the purchaser. Collection is prefered but I am often around the country at shows so could meet if required.

There are no pedigrees but this is no reflection on the quality of the birds.

Phil

Jenny has done a fantastic job with these birds and they handle as well as they look. All 07 & 08 birds have been trained and i'm so dissapointed for them that they didn't get the chance to race them.

I'm not worried if that pair sell or not as they can have a home here, still to hold most of there youngsters tells its own story as well as youngbirds i've been bred from the same pair that i've still got and well trained this year.

Sorry to hear about paul, very nice pigeons and very cheap,

In his case i dont think he should be making a donation to the forum.

If he does'nt get enough money for a mobility scooter get back to us i'm sure we can all help.

if i was in work ,and not short of of a bob or two , id have snapped your hand off, but im like a kid in a sweetshop where good quality birds are concerned

then i get overstocked an end not breeding from most of them ,then i end up giving most of them at the backend ,and so the rollercoasater starts again

Thank Clockman, they are priced for a quick sale which deffinatly doesn't reflect the quality of the birds.

Nest boxes, bowls, drinker, feeders etc will be offered once the birds have gone.

he came from Fred Cross and is jenny's favourite so will see his days out here so they can visit him. He follows her everywhere around the loft!
