We would also like to thank the generosity of the fanciers who have donated youngsters. Apologies to those who did offer youngsters, but did'nt make the list. We had to 'draw the line' at some point. The support has been overwhelming. The youngsters below will be offered in the BHW very shortly, so be quick. Please note, this is not an auction.......each lot has a set price. HARROWDEN SOUTH ROAD PIGEON CLUB PHONE-IN YOUNGSTER SALE A superb collection of top quality 2009 youngsters generously donated in aid of club funds and support for our RPRA registered school loft. Donations made by some of the UK’s top pigeon fanciers, both local and national. It would be impossible to list all the amazing achievements by the following fanciers, so I must keep it brief. Lot 1. Donated by L.A. Smith of Harrowden. Super way to start! This guy is totally dedicated to the sport of pigeon racing, and always willing to help. A 24/7 pigeon fancier. And his results show it. Just had the most amazing season, winning countless prizes , at club, fed, & national levels, including 1st, 3rd, 10th, 12th, 17th, 20th, 21st, 26th, 31st, 43rd, 69th, 72nd, 74th OPEN Midlands National Flying Club! Kit of 6 Van Breemans, ready April/May. £300 Lot 2. Donated by Stuart Wisken of Walgrave. Another dedicated pigeon fancier. If there was a race on Xmas day, this guy would enter! Stuart has won countless 1st prizes up to 1st sect NFC. 2 youngsters from his sprint family of Felix Pauwels. Sire & Dam 17 x 1sts between them. Ready April/May. £100 Lot 3. Donated by M/M C Maddison & Son. Chris has fantastic stock pigeons. 2 youngsters from his stock. Sire: A direct son of 2 NRCC winners, ‘Charity’ 1st Open Perth when paired to ‘Diamond Geezer’ 1st Open Thurso. Dam: 1st Sect L, 3rd Open NFC St Naziarre. Ready April/May. £100 Lot 4. Donated by Tim Hall. A Brilliant National flyer. Has won countless positions in the top 20 of both the SNFC & SNRPC including 1st Open, 2nd Open, 3rd Open. 2 youngsters. Ready Feb/March. G.Parents both side will be SNFC winners. Ready Mar/April. £100 Lot 5. Donated by Kevin Elliot. Every time I speak to this guy he mentions the ‘wheelie bin’. A ruthless stock man. Countless wins. Has won the North Sect SNFC. 2 youngsters from his super sprinters. £100 Lot 6. Donated by Robert Higgins. Just had an amazing season, hauling in a total of 16 trophies! 2 youngsters from his all purpose Busschaerts. Ready April/May. £100 Lot 7. Donated by John Norris. Probably the nicest guy in pigeon racing, a true gent. Once won the most prestigious prize in pigeon racing, the ‘Kings Cup’ from Lerwick. Has spent a small fortune on his current stock. Chalked up 9 x 1sts last season. 2 youngsters. £100 Lot 8. Donated by A & T Deacon of Waterlooville. True National Flyers. Have won many top positions such as, Langstone Gold Cup Winners, 2nd Open Pau NFC, 2 x 1st Perpignan BICC. 1st Open BICC Dax, only bird on the day. A superb record. 1 youngster, end of season late bred. £100. Lot 9. Donated by Irvin Buchan, Peterhead. One of the top distance men in the NE SCOT FED also one of the top SNFC flyers, with many Sect wins. 2 youngsters. Janssens or Long Distance. £100 Lot 10. Donated by George Duncan. Top man in Keith Club. Breeds top quality youngsters which win big. Bred best bird in SHU 2007 up to 300 miles. 2 youngsters same way bred, Frank Tasker pigeons. Or Braspennings. £100 Lot 11. Donated by J Coutts & Son of Inverurie. Another top flyer north of the border. 2 youngsters. Gabby Vandebeeles, or German Distance Family. £100 Lot 12. Donated by Paul Thomson of Forres. Once a top flyer in the Aberdeen Fed. Just returned to the sport, and has spent heavily in new stock. 2 youngsters, Gabby Vandenbeeles. £100 Lot 13. Donated by Dominic Carton & Son of Eire. Superb flyers. Regular highest prize winner in big club. Winning races from Nothern Scotland and France, flying into Ireland. Fantastic Pigeons. 2 Alun Maulls Janssen youngsters. £100 Lot 14. Donated by Harvey & Warner of Milton Keynes. This partnership are always on the fed result sheet, quite often 1st. Also win prizes in the nationals. Fly their own strain ‘micklenorms’ which are Staf Van Reet based. 2 youngsters from a fabulous stock pair. Sire has won 1st Fed and bred 1st Fed. Dam has bred 3 x 1st Fed winners. Ready April/May. £100 Lot 15. Donated by Alan Foster of Aberdeen. Alan has spent a huge amount on his stock, only buying the best. 2 youngsters from his any of his families which include, Ronny De Drobblers (blacks), Walter Docx, Karel Hermans, P V D Merwe. £100 Lot 16. Donated by Nicholas Adshead of Selby. Nick has a fantastic family of Peter Van De Merwe pigeons. Nick has had some brilliant results from France including 1st Fed, and 1st Sect MNFC. 2 youngsters £100. Lot 17. Donated by Stephen Blades of Kettering. Steve has stormed his way to the top from being a novice just 5 seasons ago, with his pure Van Reets, following in the footsteps of his uncle, the late Bill Briggs. 2 youngsters. Sire 12th Sect, 21st Open Saintes MNFC 2008. Dam 1st Club, 10th Fed, 11th Sect Falaise MNFC. 1st Club, 4th Fed, 5th Sect, 72 Open Alencon MNFC 2007. £100 Lot 18. Donated by Barry Graham of Milton Keynes. Barry won a RPRA sprint award in 2007 with some exceptional flying. Always on the Fed sheet with outstanding performances from his pure Walter Docx family. Barry has pigeons from Walter every year. 2 youngsters £100 Lot 19. Donated by Tony Coker of Essex. Has won 1st Open BICC. Has excellent Long Distance stock. 2 Youngsters, will be grandchildren of Barcelona prize winners. £100 Lot 20. Donated by Jones & Coleman of Northampton. Alf once won 1st Open in the NRCC back in 1999, and has clocked up hundreds of 1st prizes! A fantastic achievement by a hugely popular fancier. Alf has also more recently won the MNFC sect. 2 Youngsters, which will be g,children of ‘Champion Bernie’ the 1st Open NRCC Banff. ‘Bernie’ has bred multiple prize winners. £100 Lot 21. Donated by A & S Freeman of Burton Latimer. Invested heavily in the Roland Janssens in 2006 from John Mellor to compete from sprint racing. And already the partnership have a Yearling Ck with 3 x 1sts plus many other cards. 2 youngsters £100. Ready April/May Lot 22. Donated by L & G Perkins of Rushton. Greg is the Harrowden Club ‘chairman’ and always there to help. 2 Youngsters, Van Reet based, Sire has won 12th Open MNFC, Dam has won 50th Open MNFC. Ready April/May. £100 Lot 23. Donated by Steve Pollitt aka ‘THE DREADMEISTER’ of Milton Keynes, formally of the Petherbridge & Pollitt partnership, who have won 3 x 1st sects at National Level, plus countless other exceptional performances from France, and Inland. 2 Youngsters from the ‘whitewidow ‘ family. See BHW 2nd Jan, pages 18 – 22. £100 Lot 24. Donated by Rod Sparkes of Cleethorpes. An exceptional Lot to finish the sale. Rod Sparkes formally from the ‘Sparkes & Hurst’ partnership made history with the Van De Rhees, winning everything before them. Since then Rod has flown from May Street and won everything before him, breaking and setting new records, winning RPRA awards, etc. 2 youngsters from his super family of Van De Rhees.
