plenty jacobins around but havent seen any russian trumpeters for years.went back to the mart i bought mine from all those years ago,as its still going .unfortunatelly it had been closed by defra cos of the bird flu :)

in reply to how much were they selling for,15yrs ago i paid £8 for a pair of russians exactlly the same colour as the one to the right of the one in the main photo.they were npa rung as well,i wonder how much it would cost me for that pair today.

im still after a couple of pairs ot the mentioned pigeons.im wondering would there be any for sale at blackpool this weekemd and how much should i expect to pay for them.im hoping theyll be cheaper than they are in the feathered world ive been quoted £50 pair for jacs and£35pair for german trumpeters

im thinking about buying a couple of pairs of jacs,can anyone tell me,do they breed well or do they need feeders to raise the young eg tumblers. also how much should i be paying for a pair,bearing in mind i dont want to show them(for my own personal pleasure. i dont want to get ripped off as i will take older stock

trumpeters;frillbacks,helmets,jacobins,fairy swallows .does anyone know where i can purchase these breeds but dont have to pay £40-$100per bird as they would never see a show pen
