  2. Hello It seems very timid and on edge when coming down to where the seed is for the wild birds,it had about 3 goes at landing before it did get on the ground. I will try and catch it. I don't have a shed tho,is there another method to try and catch,i remeber my dad used white fan tails to get his pigeons down. Mick
  3. Good Morning. I have a racing pigeon that is staying at my house so to speak. Noticed it on Thursday 23rd July. It is a very dark grey bird and it has a Red ring on its right leg,and a yellow ring on its left leg. It looks very well in its self, the first day i saw it,it was in my front garden which has conifers and a cherry tree and was on the ground foraging,so i put some wild bird food and peanuts out,it actually sat on my front door step for a good hour resting. Then the same evening it moved on,i thought it had flown off. But this morning Sunday it was on my back garden feeding with the colared doves and sparrows. This week i am sure i saw a large flock of racing pigeons about 30 or more go over my house going north/northeast over where i live Manor Top in Sheffield. When i was a youngster my dad used to race pigeons from the Darnall area this was back in the 1970's 80's,so i know what racing pigeons look like. Anyone missing a pigeon i would like to help. Mick
