Thank you i promise not to give up. I keep a check on it all the time. I have just set up the laundry basket and Andy is watching it, ( just lucky we have this week of work thankfully as we are having some alterations done at home) although i did try this yesterday and it was to quick or maybe i was to slow. The 06 part of the number does it stand for this year? Maz

Sorry i missed the Z the number is as follows GB 06 Z 08805.

We are in Stockport, i tried yesterday to coax it with seed but it was too fly (quick). I also had a basket ready to put over it but as soon as i got it out it flew away. I am looking after it as best i can but i am frightened a cat might get it as its only a baby.I also tried to grab it but its too quick. So today i have a tray of seed and i am going to try coax it in the back door i have a basket ready to put it in.Trouble is it says you should only feed and water it the first day and it will go home when its rested? I also have a site called ( http://www.interbug.com/pigeon/lost.html ) were i can report it as lost and it says they will come the next day and collect it. I do not know of anyone with pigeons. I have enclosed a picture of it maybe someone can indentify it.Its number is as follows GB0608805 Many thanks and god bless Maz

Hi my partner and i first saw this pigeon on friday, by sat it was still outside so we looked for something on the net and found you people. We did as it said gave it a drink and some seed. The problem we have is how to catch it before we report it as a lost bird. We have managed to copy the ring details and i think it is a young bird as it has 06 for the year.Please please help as i am frightened it gets hurt. We have tryed to catch it by coaxing but its to clever for us. Is there a way of catching this bird without hurting it. We need to catch it tonight so we can report it first thing in the morning so any adavice asp would be grateful. Thanks Maz + Andy.
