i might only be young but i know what is right and what wrong.the way you have started to panic and get defensive shows you are scared . if you weren't doing anything wrong you would not be this way.

my grandad told me people who kept pigeons were cruel and i din't believe him. now I know he was right.

yes but dull one- these are living beings and you are getting your kicks by risking their lives. that sounds very sick. you have little regard for other creatures life by the sound of it.

why not just keep pigeons and take care of them. from what people have said on here they are only racing them for their selves-thats selfish. If you didnt force them to race they would not get hurt or lost or killed.

Then why do you do it if they get lost hurt or killed- That sounds cruel.

So if I get young birds they won't fly away cos they need me to feed them. how long will it be before I can leave the aviary open and they will return ok.

I am looking at taking care of pigeons but wondered if its cruel to keep them enclosed in a aviary. If I leave the aviary open will they fly away-or will they come back when they want. Hope you can help. Thanks. Lee,14
