In Egg! (Newbie)

In Egg! (Newbie) (1/8)

  1. I am soon to move to the Isle of Mull. I would like to continue in my sport of racing pigeons and would like to know of any clubs on the mainland that I could send my pigeons with.
  2. many thanks
  3. Does anyone know of fanciers who have Leijten Bros pigeons
  4. many thanks again. today started much the same, good clean out, fed the stock and added electrolytes to the water. after feeding took the water away for six hours and the droppings dried up. Fed again later this afternoon after adding maple peas to the VL sublime breeding mixture. More electrolytes in the water and within one hour the 6 pairs had drank 1.5 litres. and the wet droppings were returning. Fresh grit all day which most of the birds were eating. Not sure were to go from here!
  5. thanks to everyone for interest and replies. I have mainly used Bucktons but couldn't get the breed and wean that I have used last year. I made up a mixture Ruby, economy amd farm beans which they have been on since the Blackpool show. Once a week I add Form oil and vitaminerals. Yesterday I bought a couple of bags of Versle Laga breeding sublime. I have not fed it yet as it would take me a couple of days to introduce it. I have had no grit or minerals in the loft since Friday afternoon.
  6. At the moment I have all of my race team seperated with just a handfull of stock pairs on youngsters in the nest 5/10 days old. For the past month the birds have all been fed the same food. Since the stock have started feeding the yb's the droppings have gone watery with a greater consumption of water. The unpaired birds have solid healthy droppings. The stock range from yearlings to 6 year olds some of which have just been added over the winter months. What has gone wrong!!
