yes i hope people still use this forum, as i have noticed a slow decliene allready. how about the webmaster or ourselves start the best looking, or worst looking pigeon, for a bit of fun? or any other thoughts that we can all be apart of?
-
i bet too! i would be gutted as i lost 2 young ens & aint even raced yet & i was gutted

yes i think your right, but was thinking of breeding a few old birds too, which now i realise im better off doing all at the same time, so maybe end of jan i was thinking?

if you was really low on birds would you & is it worth breeding a few old birds say december (as the old birds are gifts off other fanciers)? would i benifit as in extra training? etc. all advice appreciated.

thanks, i just dont know what to do , as i dont have enough birds to race next year, unless i get some old birds n breed them jan or feb, as i have 2 late breds & 1 late late bred which will be ready next week, is it worth me having them any way to breed off jan or feb?

hi, another local i have just met has offered me a pair of birds he purchased from louella PW, there is a mealey cock 03 & brown check hen i think 03, obviously i dont think these will ever break to my loft, but was going to breed them, as he has bred 2 good ones that have won a few races out of 8 bred, so with respect im a new starter & low on stock, when do you think the best time to breed from these birds? all advice appreciated.

all advice taken & appreciated, someone is giving me a late late bred next week, is it best not even to let out & just keep in now until next year? as the weather is getting to that stage where its darker & colder earlier now? what do you think? regards snowy

never even noticed hawks untill i started up again, & there is a few pigeon fanciers close to me as i see them fly around & near my place of work, & i always see at least a hawk at least 3 times a week either at home or at work, one flew right infront of me real fast into a garden. its just amazing how many there is around now.

hi, my 2 early bred 2005 birds laid a couple of eggs, smaller than the norm, was going to throw them, but a local gave me 2 eggs to put under them as he was going to throw them, & i presumed mine was infertile so i give it a go, anyway, they hatched & 1 died 3 days old trampled on i think, but the other now about 13 days old keeps on jumping out the nest bowl & squeeking all day? hes very big & healthy looking , is this normal? as its a long time ago since i bred them (20 yrs plus) thanks, all advice appreciated
-
loft cleaning! wow just read my mind! thats answered my question. thanks "VIRKON S" i was just about to ask, is normal bleach in a spray bottle good enough or jeys fluid or disinfectent, but i suppose not?
